Amintirile, ca și istoria, pot fi privite ca o cascadă de descărcări a unor secvențe simbolice. Ele cad în straturi ca percepții succesive ale timpului fizic. La un prim nivel, observarea timpului este reprezentată vizual printr-o repetiție a unui eveniment considerat ciclic, mișcarea unui pendul. Peste acest prim strat se vor suprapune altele mai mult sau mai puțin subiective: bătăile inimii, căderea burselor, nașterile dintr-o maternitate, mersul trenurilor sau instaurarea unor dictaturi. Decupându-le în imagini, conștiința le reîncarcă simbolic și le transformă astfel în contexte, referințe, scheme conceptuale, domenii de posibilitate ale acțiunii, ideologii. Despre rafinarea artistică a acestor procese și conversia lor în limbaj pictural, în expoziția Nostalgic Future, pe care Pavel Kiselev și Vladimir Potapov o vernisează joi seara, la H`art Gallery. Memories, as well as history itself, can be seen as a cascade of downloads of symbolic sequences. They fall in layers as succesive perceptions of physical time. At a first level, observing time is visually represented by the repetion of a cyclical event, the swinging of a pendulus. Over this first layer, others, more or less subjective, will be juxtaposed: the beatings of one`s heart, financial crashes, births of the children, the schedule of the trains, rises of dictators. Cut into images, the conscience reloads them with symbolic meanings and turn them into contexts, refferences, conceptual schemes, domains of possibility for actions, ideologies. The artistic refinement of these processes and their conversion in pictural language are the main topics of the Nostalgic Future exhibition that Pavel Kiselev and Vladimir Potapov will open at H`art Gallery on Thursday night.
