Marius Bercea – Under 18
Marius Bercea is interested on the way the memories are built. His painting is produced atmospherically, avoiding detail. It’s an art that recovers nostalgically a pre-Decembrist time of the childhood where the consumerist problems where heaven like fictions in the movies seen on VHS, where games like “ lapte gros” and “frunza” (childhood games) could be installed on a street and didn’t need a Windows or PlayStation platform. It’s an art that recovers a certain type of light, that Marius calls the “post Chernobyl light”. It’s a Naples yellow light which dilutes the outlines but intensifies the perfume of a lost world.
